Nepal’s Back-to-Back Win: Defeats Australia After England in Hong Kong Sixes

Nepal achieved a second spectacular win in the ongoing Hong Kong International Sixes. In a recently concluded match, Nepal defeated the mighty Australian team by 11 runs.

In today’s game, Nepal batted first, scoring 111 runs with the loss of just two wickets. Chasing a target of 112 runs, the Australian team was bowled out for 100 runs in six overs.

Nepal’s captain, Sandeep Jora, continued his excellent form, delivering an outstanding performance with the bat. He scored 51 runs off just 16 balls, smashing five fours and four sixes before retiring hurt. Another opener, Lokesh Bam, added 33 runs from 13 balls, while Bibek Yadav contributed 12 runs from four balls. For Australia, only Jack Wood managed to take two wickets.

In Australia’s chase for 112 runs, they lost their first wicket on the third ball itself, as Sam Heazlett was dismissed for just one run. Pratish GC had him caught by Lokesh Bam. Another opener, Jack Wood, played an explosive inning, scoring 55 runs off 16 balls, but couldn’t secure a win for his team and remained unbeaten.

Among the other Australian players, Dan Christian scored nine runs, Alex Rose made 14, Fawad Ahmed contributed eight, and Andrew Fekete managed five runs. Pratish GC was the star bowler for Nepal, taking three wickets while conceding 24 runs in his two-over spell. Lokesh Bam and Bibek Yadav also claimed one wicket each.
