The highly anticipated Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2024 is back and ready to enthrall cricket fans with its fast-paced, action-packed format. This year’s tournament is set to run from November 1 to November 3 at the iconic Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground in Hong Kong. Known as the shortest and most dynamic format in cricket, the Hong Kong Sixes will feature 12 teams battling in six-a-side matches, offering spectators a one-of-a-kind experience with thrilling cricket, lively music, and delicious food.
Tournament Format and Group Division
The tournament will feature 12 international teams, divided into four pools of three teams each, competing in a round-robin format:
• Pool A: Hong Kong (hosts), South Africa, and New Zealand
• Pool B: Australia, England, and Nepal
• Pool C: India, Pakistan, and UAE
• Pool D: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Oman
The teams will compete for a spot in the quarter-finals, with the top two teams from each pool advancing. The tournament also includes a Plate Competition for teams that lose in the quarter-finals, as well as a Bowl Competition for the bottom-placed team in each pool. Over the course of three days, 29 matches will be played, ensuring non-stop excitement for fans.
